Amsonia arenaria

One mile west of New Well on sandy hill, a natural stand of Amsonia arenaria plants well established on a large moving sand dune. The plants reproduce by tillering from extensive rhizomes. Mature seeds are produced in August. The plant seems to be of value in binding sand. Original Photo Number 355931.
