Utilization standard picture. Mature tufts of black grama showing proper degree of grazing to within 2 - 3 inches of the ground. Notice the several "sets" of at and to the right. These all resulted from sprouting at the nodes of flower stalks. The small tufts at the left (marked by knife) also grew from a sprout on a flower stalk. Original Photo Number 348032.
