The seedlings are from seed planted 0 inch, .5 inch, 1 inch, 1.5 inches, 2 inches, 3 inches, and 4 inches, respectively from left to right. An average of 28 percent germination resulted from the seed planted at 0 inch (just covered), 21 percent at .5 inch, 6 percent at 1 inch, 7 percent at 1.5 inches, 4 percent at 2 inches, and 0 percent at 3 and 4 inches.
