Goatheads

Drymaria experimental enclosure plot number 4 (1935), view of dense mat of vegetation consisting chiefly of goatheads (Tribulus terrestris) formed in gulley on plot 4. This area was furrowed with a plow and 3 inches of sandy soil which contained seeds placed in the bottom of the furrows. Original Photo Number 333066.
