No grass

Poorest place on the range in the enclosure for recovery without stock. In the cove in the Dona Ana Mountains, about one-third of a mile from the "drift fence", nearly west of the gate on Summerford-Isaacks road. There was practically no grass growing on this land, though one-fourth of a mile away there was a fair stand of Bouteloua eriopoda. Original Photo Number 329374.
