Black grama transplant

Major enclosure number 2, closeup of black grama transplant set out in 1934. Notice the Chamiso seedling which germinated from a seed caught by the grass tuft, and which was later covered by sand. Such seedlings were found only under or near an obstruction. Also notice Chamiso fruits of the 1935 season. Original photo number 317157.
