Bouteloua eriopoda mound of sand. June 18, 1935

Looking north northwest at Bouteloua eriopoda mound of sand about 3 feet in diameter and 9 inches high. Center is 8 feet south of south stake (shown in picture) of photo point number 1. On southwest side roots are exposed vertically .5 to 1 inch and shallow surface roots are exposed up to 12 to 16 inches on northeast side sand is deposited except at extreme northeast, shere roots are exposed, part of each Bouteloua eriopoda tuft alive.
