A view of the associated grasses in a mountain mahogany (Cercocarpus breviflorus) type, characteristic of the high slopes on the west side of the main ridge of the San Andres range. Muhlenbergia monticola, Bouteloua curtipendula, and Bouteloua hirsuta are principal grass species, 1 mile south San Andrecito Canyon outlet on main ridge, 2 chains from crest on west side, looking northeast in Section 8, T18S, R4E.
