The average density is .25 and the forage acre factor is .04. Both sheet and wind erosion is slight. The soil is very shallow gravelly and stony, very fine sandy loam, only 10 inches deep. A hard very well cemented caliche layer having a dense crypto-crystalline surface, prevents plant roots with a few exceptions to penetrate below this depth.
