Mesquite sandhill artificial revegetation enclosure. Just west of northwest corner plot "H", general view showing natural aspect of mesquite sandhill type before cutting and scattering mesquite brush. Note the mesquite laden dunes and the comparatively barren blowouts. It must be noted that although the mesquite has little value as forage, in some instances it is the only plant that remains to hold the sand in place. However cutting does not destroy the mesquite as the remaining parts of the plant will send out new sprouts. Original Photo Number 333014.
