Drymaria revegetation enclosure. Eradication of posionous drymaria by competition. The right side of the picture shows barren, compact, dry adobe soil in which drymaria thrives during wet summers, but in which other plants seldom grow. The area to the left of the picture has been treated so that other plants may grow there. Fairly deep furrows were made across the area at intervals of 4 feet, and about 6 inches of sandy soil which contained weed and grass seeds was put in the furrows. The plant cover shown was produced in one season. Drymaria does not readily become established on areas that support other vegetation. Same as photo number 333002. Original Photo Number 333003.
